"Orchestral Colors in the Wind"

"Triptych Pentameter"

"Holiday Carousel"

"Untitled Orchestral Exploration - 2007"

"Fragments 2 - Languid"

"Ripples and Lines"

Johannes Brahms: "Lullaby"

A rare "cover" (and one of the few non-original pieces you'll find from me), this arrangement for the venerable classic features solo clarinet, strings, harp and flute in an original arrangement.

A new series of cinematic/symphonic pieces,
conveniently grouped together under the collective title of "EPISODES":

"Episodes" "Beginnings"  August 3
"Scene 1"  August 5
"Playfulness"  August 10
"Triumph"  August 23
"Flight"  August 26
"Mood Swings"  September 2
"Strife, Diversion, Resolution, Strength"  September 16

More pieces in the developing piano-centric collection to be
known as "The Big Sur Suite". These will be in a collection which will
also include "Garrapata Creek" and "Pfeiffer Ridge" (below).

"Caring"
"Wreck Beach"
"Limekiln Canyon"

"Restraint, Playfulness, Release"

One of my longer symphonic movements (7 minutes +) to date. This piece has many moods and a raucous middle section that explores a fun 5/4 time signature and some interesting solo turns.

"Unsquare Round for Quartet -
movement 2
"

The second movement for this small but challenging ensemble.  FOLLOW the score HERE.

"Extreme Competition"

A short piece submitted as an audition for "extreme sports instruments" for used "behind Sports footage on TV. They need energetic, action-oriented material" such as is used on regional/national TV sports events/local sports news/ESPN ... "prominent melodies not required".

"Garrapata Creek"

I had a call for a couple of jazz pieces which got me working with a new package of jazz-oriented samples. This piece (and "Pfeiffer Ridge", below) both started off with paired Flugelhorn and Tenor Sax solos (trading off), but I grew unhappy with the Tenor Sax sound and tossed it out. That solo section is replaced (in this piece) with a Trombone solo.

"Pfeiffer Ridge"

Like "Garrapata Creek" this piece started off as a pairing of Tenor Sax and Flugelhorn solos, but I tossed out the Tenor Sax (which was originally the opening section) and transposed the keys up a 4th (from A minor to D minor) and gave the original Sax solo to the Flugel and the Flugel part to the Flute (with some doubling at the end with an added Piccolo).
